Spent one night here after finishing service work on the airport's xray equipment. Unassuming exterior hides pleasant, relaxing interior, friendly staff, immaculate rooms, complimentary breakfast and 24hr coffee bar, at a very good rate. Also offered is shuttle service to the airport. Shout out to morning clerk Adam who cheerfully brought to me at the airport a misplaced wallet. Will definitely stay here for future trips to the area.
Super comfy beds, very friendly staff, nice clean room and bathroom - totally exceeded my expectations. Would def recommend and will stay here again. One note - if your room faces the harbor you get some noise from that direction bit that didnt bother me
Comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay while visiting Petersburg. The staff were all very friendly & helpful when checking in, out & when asking for local recommendations. I loved the retro style of the hotel. My adult daughter & I enjoyed playing the board games in our room, they are available in the lobby for anyone to use. In addition to our room, the lobby was also a nice comfortable area to chill and relax, complete with a kitchen, ice machine, TV, tables, chairs & a sofa.
We always stay here when we come through petersberg on our alaskan fishing trips. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I spent 3 nights at the Tides Inn at the end of April 2025. The building's exterior will make you think you're checking in to a dump - but get over that and go inside. The facility is two, connected buildings, one part built in the early 1960s, and the later I believe dates from the early 1970s. The interiors though have been thoroughly modernized and are sparkling clean. This is a family business with the owners on site 24/7. They are genuinely friendly, intelligent, professional and attentive. This is not a major market franchise and any comparison to one is unfair. Do they offer a complementary, linen napkin, breakfast buffet? Of course not. Are the rooms clean, the towels fresh, the showers hot, the beds comfortable, the Wi-Fi reliable? Yes to all and then some. If I ever have an opportunity to visit Petersburg again there is no question I will stay at the Tides Inn.
If you need a place to SLEEP in Petersburg Alaska that's in walking distance to restaurants, pubs, or the market then TIDES INN is the place to stay. Very comfortable beds, clean microwave/refrigerator in room also enjoy a yummy breakfast. Can't forget about the Friendly Welcoming Service you'll receive. I definitely would stay here again.
I wasn't disappointed by anything at the tides in , this was a great idea for a vacation very cheap in my opinion , but we'll worth the expense..
Very friendly staff. They are accommodating. Room has a loud small fridge like a lot of hotels. Small little breakfast. All packaged. Nothing hot except oatmeal you can heat up. But it worked for a few nights while fishing.
